"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
Hi Guys,
Today I have such an important message to share with you. Let's Put An END To Domestic Violence And Financial Abuse!
Domestic violence affects one in four women in her lifetime – that’s more women than breast cancer, ovarian cancer and lung cancer combined. (American Cancer Society). I could not believe those numbers when I learned them. That's totally NOT acceptable!

Hi Guys,
Today I have such an important message to share with you.
With that, The Allstate Foundation responded by creating Purple Purse – the Foundation’s national symbol for domestic violence and financial abuse to raise awareness and getting people to openly talk about this important issue. Purple Purse was chosen because a purse represents the center of a woman’s financial domain and purple is the national color of domestic violence awareness.
For victims of domestic violence and financial abuse in my home.
Allstate Foundation Purple Purse is making easier – even fashionable – to talk about domestic violence and the financial abuse that traps women in abusive relationships. The program ignites fundraising for more than 140 national, state and local domestic violence organizations. Funds raised will support life-changing financial empowerment services to help domestic violence survivors build safer lives for themselves and their families. Allstate Foundation Purple Purse aims to break the cycle of violence in our nation – one family at a time.
For me it is so important to share this message with you because my mom, my sister, and I were actually victims of it. With God's help, we have the power to put an end to abuse!
In my case, I was little and don't remember too many details about it, but I do remember!
If you have gone thru this, or know someone who does, then you know how difficult and painful it can be.
Reality is that not only women suffer from this. Men also go thru this type of abuse, so this goes to everyone!
Abuse is not considered only physical, it can also be mental and financial.
Financial abuse is just as effective in controlling an abused victim as a lock and key. If her credit has been ruined, she can’t get an apartment. If her abuser constantly harasses her at work, she can lose her job. And, crushing debt run up by an abuser means it could take a survivor and her children years to fully recover from abuse.
